Your writing truly holds a nourishing and wholesome quality that is difficult to convey. I am discovering more and more to honor sensitivty, not clash against it for the sake of perceived comfort. This particular line really resonated, " . Another name for it could be discernment, that brilliant pearl born out of friction."
I also enjoy the artwork you shared on this post, it's very much alive in the sense of movement and feels quite timeless. I look forward to reading more from you!
This resonates, Corry. I appreciate how you related the grit in your painting to that in our lives. I have developed a system for incorporating images into my writing toolkit. I'm not necessarily writing about the images, but using them as touchstones for what is meaningful in my life, usually over time.
Oh Sheri, that sounds so fascinating. Visuals can spark our creativity indeed. I receive a lot from the visuals that come thru energetically from my imaginal realm or into form in my paintings. Iโm curious to try your flow, to have visuals nearby and let them be there as you say so well โtouchstonesโ. Iโll let you know! ๐XC
So glad you find it interesting. I hope you do try it. Tomorrow, I'm holding a free workshop on this process. Here's the link if you'd like to learn more and/or register: https://luma.com/ea4o3g37
Awww, just seeing this message now, Sheri. I was so pulled into my paintings the past few days that I didnโt tuck into my Substack until just now. I hope it was enjoyable & that you could spark some creativity in your workshopees! โจ
